Update

Some of the school children came over to the house to color. They love pencils, it is a commodity over here. I wish I knew, I would of brought more pencils over with me.

Cole's picture of the monkeys

Things are going well here, the kids are all in a groove doing homework and playing (what else do they need to worry about). Cole has had a blast running around trying to take pictures of the monkeys. Yesterday, Steele, Olivia, and Boston got to go with the mobile medical clinic to a leprosy colony. They went to hand out medicine and clean wounds. They said it was really cool and got pictures with some of the cute babies and children that live there with their parents..they have the cutest children! I will hopefully get to go to the colonies next week. Yesterday was my first day of teaching at the school, I get to teach a class called moral science. It is basically all the moral lessons that the kids should learn at home but don't because they are no longer living with their parents, who are unable to provide the education RSO provides. I will teach about honesty, courage, patience, talents, personal hygiene, kindness, earth appreciation, goal setting, forgiveness, leadership, responsibility, respect, gratitude, etc. I am excited to teach, I will make sure Cole, Olivia, Boston, and Oaks attend the classes that they are supposed to..because they need it too. I taught yesterday about talents, setting goals and how everyone has different gifts that they are blessed with and how we can set goals to develop more talents. I taught 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th yesterday, I had them all draw a star and color it. I have almost 100 different stars colored so beautifully..I think I am going to hang them on the wall in our house.
Last night I had a dream, and I remembered it (which I never do). In my dream, we were all at Dickilyn and Eric Hendershot's house getting ready to eat mashed potatoes and gravy..we were so excited! I remember the feeling of being so blessed to have good food to eat and soft carpet to sit on! We were all so happy, Eric was tossing grapes in the air and the kids were catching them with there mouths wide open..so funny. I woke up shortly after that and remembered I was in India. I think I was craving American food, and that is where the dream came from. I do have a better appreciation for the things we have in America. If any of you have a few extra pounds to lose you can come visit me here, I have lost those few extra already, it feels good though. Things are good here, we miss all of you but feel blessed to have this opportunity to be here.
