Sunday!
Sunday turned out to be a fun day, we thought at first we wouldn't have to go to church because of a cyclone(hurricane) coming into the coast of Tamal Nadu but it looks like it is not hitting till Sunday night or Monday morning so we took the two hour drive to church. After church we decided to go see St. Thomas Mount, it is a small mountain that over looks the city of Chennai where the Apostle Thomas was martyred after his extensive missionary labors in India.
We also saw the cave where he was kept until he escaped to only be caught soon after and speared in the back.

Marriott Chennai Christmas Program
Really fun day! Newspapers and television stations arrived on the scene this morning along with the staff and management from Marriott Chennai for interviews and to perform a fun memorable Christmas program for all the children to enjoy at RSO. We were very surprised to see how much work went into the whole thing! Santa even came and handed out candy and pencil boxes with erasers and pencils for all of the 180 children! Then to top it off they served a very delicious Indian lunch and played with the children before heading back to the city. The program included the whole manger scene as well as Rudolph and a lot of singing and dancing to boot..they even sprayed fake snow into the air!

Catching Frogs and Snakes!
We had a fun day of snakes and frogs...we probably caught 30 frogs. While hunting for frogs we found a baby Cobra in the bushes underneath our window, ahhhh! The oldest boy here Satish got it and all the kids had to see what was going on. Lots of excitement!

The Bird Sanctuary!
This was a fun late afternoon activity, we saw thousands of different kinds of birds. This is their nesting grounds. Truly an amazing sight to see.
Belle and her hundreds of friends
Belle had ants for breakfast this morning, opps...
She seems to be okay. Sunday is cereal day because we need to leave for church at 730. I poured Belle a bowl and went to get ready, Steele came in to get some cereal and saw ants in his bowl...the ants got in the box of cereal! Belle had had several bites by then, oh well all is well.

It sounds like you had a great Sunday! Do you think you'll try staying in Chennai's Marriott Saturday night so you won't have to get up so early for church?

Looks like fun! Ants are not that bad., I had them in my fruity pebbles in Canada.

ants no big deal, I have eaten hundreds of them when they lived in moms house :( a little bitter.
What is the deal, Belle is friends with all those people, but not me, no matter how hard i try :/ I guess i didn't try hard enough!
It's so awesome to read your blog and see all your amazing experiences. We are SOOOOOO excited!! We can't wait to get over there and experience it with you. We know we'll be great friends and have a blast together!
