After School Sports

Monday, Wednesday and Friday the children all have sports organized by our school PE teacher.  Monday and Wednesday is Cuperty,  Cocco, badminton, volleyball and soccer.  My kids absolutely love these games.  Cupertiy is kinda physical and there is a lot of tackling.  Cole loves it.  Cocco is a fun running game that is played on a long field...Olivia and Boston like to play this game.  Oaks is too little for curperty so he plays badminton or soccer...we all know he would rather be playing the physical games.  Friday is Yoga in the mango grove.  These after school sports reminds me of home... going to the local city park to watch my kids soccer games. My kids look forward to this organized playtime all week.

Star Store...Movie night...Night out at Hendershots

This is our good friends Tal and Anita...they are the ones that help get the Star Store program organized.  They did such a great job that it continues today to be very effective to teach the kids ownership and responsibility. The children earn stars based on behavior and every Tuesday the store opens and the children can purchase items with their stars.  It has been great for me because anytime a child asks me for something I can say sure save your stars.  I love it. The thing that our family loves the most is having a few of the children over to our house for dinner and movie night.  It cost thirty stars to come have a party at our house!!

The girls had so much fun modeling for Jennie as she took beautiful pictures of them.

Boston in India!

When I first came to India I was so excited.  I didn't know what to expect but I was up for an adventure.  My mom said that I would get to ride an elephant, see a cobra and see a lot of other interesting things.  So far I have seen all of these things and more.  I love the colors and all the clothes.  India is definitely a place for girls that like to dress up.  Lots of glitter, sparkles and gold.  I love to wear my colorful Indian outfits and jingle anklets.  I have so many Indian friends to play with everyday.  Some of them are Satia, Jennifer, Tamil Selvi, Devi, Amithram, Rosie, Nagaleshmi,Gracie, Trisha and more.  I love to visit the junction to buy an ice cream cone, bangles and bindis.  My house I live in now is full of color and I like my house bright.  My house is called the Darling little house or the green house...it is an old Indian house that has been remodeled.  I love to eat mangoes, coconuts, and bananas that grow on the property.  The Indian food is kinda spicy and I find it hard to eat.  I love when my Mom brings home spaghetti noodles and sauce to eat for dinner.   We only get to eat it sometimes because the grocery store is two hours away.  It is a treat to have American food.   I like going to the colonies with the volunteers,  I have meet so many new friends.  I like to do construction work at the colonies and also work with the medical van and wash the leprosy affected feet.  Sometimes we bring games to the colony and play memory, jenga or dance.
I have loved being in India.
Love Boston

Pondian's House

The house is finally finished...it was dedicated with ribbon cutting and a pooja.  This is the home that friends of ours payed for the roof and many others generously donated in the form of micro loans so this good family could have a home to raise their four boys in.  A lot of the money has already been payed back and other staff members are now able to use the money for their needs.
